Executive General Manager's foreword

In celebration of the history, culture, and achievements of Aboriginal people in Western Australia, WA Primary Health Alliance (WAPHA) launched our Innovate Reconciliation Plan (RAP) 2025-2027 during NAIDOC Week.

Formally endorsed by Reconciliation Australia, the launch of our Innovate RAP is not just a milestone, it reaffirms our commitment to fostering a health care system that respects and integrates the cultural values, beliefs, and practices of Aboriginal communities. This vision is embedded in every commitment we make, every partnership we build, and every service we commission. Together, we will continue to shape a primary health care system that is not only accessible, but culturally safe, respectful, and empowering.

The Commissioning for Better Health program continues with a renewed focus on our processes, systems and operations, all designed to ensure that commissioning at WAPHA remains fit for purpose and aligned to the needs of our community. We are currently testing some enhancements to the Aspire supplier registration portal to improve data accuracy, streamline supplier onboarding and reduce downstream processing delays. These updates will help to ensure that correct supplier information is captured accurately in the first instance, creating a single source of truth for all touchpoints across the commissioning lifecycle.

Kind regards

Mark Cockayne

Executive General Manager – Commissioned Services
